FROM WIKIPEDIA:
"The parkway was extended northward to Southern State Parkway
in July 1932 and to Northern State Parkway in December 1938".

PROVISION WAS MADE TO PLACE RAILS ACROSS THE NEW PARK -
WAY IF THE RAILROAD WERE EVER PLACED BACK IN SERVICE

THANKS TO DAVE KELLER FOR ANOTHER GREAT PHOTOGRAPH

PROBABLY THE LATEST USE BY PASSENGER TRAINS EAST OF
SALISBURY PLAINS WERE SPECIALS TO THE VANDERBILT CUP RACES.
