IN 1908 AND 1909 THE L.I.R.R. WAS STILL USING THE ORIGINAL RIGHT OF WAY. THE B.R.T. CROSSING WAS PROTECTED BY GATES ACROSS THE B.R.T. WHICH WERE SWUNG ACROSS THE MANHATTAN BEACH TRACKS TO ALLOW B.R.T. RACE TRAINS TO PASS.
