AT FAR LEFT IS ONE OF THE TEMPORARY SIGNAL CABINS - PROBABLY THE ONE AT JOHNSON'S ROAD ON MAP ABOVE. THE OLD EASTWARD TRACK IS STILL IN SERVICE BUT WESTWARD TRAINS ARE USING THE NEW TRACK AT THE FAR RIGHT. THE WESTWARD SIGNAL AT THE CABIN HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE NEW MAST AT THE FAR RIGHT WHERE THE EASTWARD SEMAPHORE WILL BE MOUNTED ON JULY 13 (1906).

THE NEW RIGHT OF WAY IS TO THE RIGHT. TO THE LEFT ARE THE ORIGINAL TRACKS WHICH WERE STILL IN SERVICE. TO THE FAR LEFT IS A CONTRACTOR'S 2-6-0 MOGUL LOCOMOTIVE ON THE OLD BRIGHTON BEACH TRACKS.
THE SIGNAL AT THE RIGHT IS THE DISTANT SIGNAL TO TOWER 75 ONE THOUSAND FEET EAST OF THE TOWER.

JULY 12, 1906 - A WESTWARD B.R.T. TRAIN OF OPEN ELEVATED CARS HAS LEFT THE STATION ON THE NEW TRACK. THE NEW EASTWARD TRACK WILL BE OPENED NEXT DAY.
