FROM 1895 UNTIL 1929 AMAGANSETT WAS A TERMINAL WITH A FOUR STALL ENGINE HOUSE, A WYE, AND COAL AND WATER FACILITIES. AT FIRST MOST TRAINS TERMINATED THERE BUT OVER THE YEARS MORE AND MORE RUNS WERE EXTENDED TO MONTAUK. BY OCTOBER 1928 ONLY THE GREENPORT SCOOT TERMINATED AT AMAGANSETT. BY JUNE 1929 - EMPLOYE TIME TABLE NUMBER 110 - AMAGANSETT WAS NO LONGER A TERMINAL AND THE SCOOT WAS RUNNING BETWEEN GREENPORT AND SPEONK. |
