THE POINT LOOKOUT SHUTTLE OR A SHUTTLE FROM LYNBROOK



THIS POSTCARD MAILED IN 1906 SHOWS A WESTBOUND LONG BEACH TRAIN AT LYNBROOK STATION WITH A D52 CLASS 4-4-0 EQUIPPED FOR "SHUTTLE SERVICE" WITH TENDER MOUNTED HEADLIGHT AND PILOT.   THE TOWER - FIRST NUMBER 21 THEN "PT" - CONTROLLED THE JUNCTION WITH THE MONTAUK BRANCH FROM 1880 UNTIL 1910.



THIS POSTCARD MAILED IN MARCH,  1910 ALSO SHOWS LYNBROOK STATION AND "PT" TOWER - ORIGINALLY NUMBER 21 - WHICH CONTROLLED THE JUNCTION WITH THE MONTAUK BRANCH FROM 1880 UNTIL 1910.
