ON   AUGUST   10,   1932   VA   TOWER   AND   VALLEY   STREAM   STATION     WERE   CLOSED   AND   ALL
TRACKS   AND   SIGNALS   REMOVED.     THREE   TEMPORARY   ELECTRO-PNEUMATIC   INTERLOCKINGS   -
CA,   HW   AND   HO   -   AND   STATION   FACILITIES   WERE   INSTALLED   ON   THE   TEMPORARY   TRACKS.

ON   AUGUST   23,   1932   TEMPORARY   FAR   ROCKAWAY   BRANCH   TRACKS   AND   STATION
WERE   PLACED   IN   SERVICE.     A   STRETCH   OF   TRACK   SPANNING   ROOSEVELT   AVENUE
WAS   SINGLE   TRACK   CONTROLLED   BY   TEMPORARY   BLOCK   STATIONS     RO     AND     GI.

ON     FEBRUARY   7,     1933     THE   NEW   STATION   PLATFORM   AND     ELEVATED     FAR
ROCKAWAY   TRACKS   WERE   PLACED   IN   SERVICE.     A   STRETCH   OF   SINGLE   TRACK
WAS     CONTROLLED     BY     THE     RELOCATED     RO     AND     GI     BLOCK     STATIONS.

GI   BLOCK   STATION   LOOKING   NORTH


A   NORTHBOUND   TRAIN   IS   LINED   AND   HAS   AN   "APPROACH"
SIGNAL   TO   ENTER   THE   TEMPORARY   SINGLE   TRACK.


ON   MAY   2,   1933,   THE   EMBANKMENT   HAVING   BEEN   WIDENED
AND   THE   NEW   TRACK   INSTALLED,   RO   AND   GI   WERE   CLOSED.


A   BRIDGE   WAS   PROVIDED   FOR   THE   NEW   SUNRISE   HIGHWAY.

ON   JUNE   27,   1933   THE   NEW   VA   TOWER   WAS   PLACED   IN   SERVICE.



THE   WEST   HEMPSTEAD   BRANCH   AND   ITS   TEMPORARY   STATION
REMAINED   ON   THE   GROUND   CONTROLLED   BY   CA   INTERLOCKING.
