CABIN WAS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MONTAUK BRANCH WEST OF JAMAICA AVENUE CROSSING AND OPERATED SIGNALS AND DERAILS PRO - TECTING THE TROLLEY CROSSING AND OPERATED THE CROSSING GATES.
THE CABIN HAD A FOUR LEVER INTERLOCKING MACHINE WITH THREE WORKING LEVERS AND ONE SPACE.
THE BLUEPRINTS INDICATE THAT THE LEVERS WERE ORIGINALLY INSIDE THE CABIN.
THE CABIN STRUCTURE MAY HAVE BEEN MOVED OR REPLACED BY A SMALLER BUILDING AND THE LEVERS LEFT ALONE.

INTERESTINGLY THERE WERE NO SIGNALS ON THE STREET FOR THE TROLLEY CARS, ONLY DERAILS AND THE CROSSING GATES.
TOWERS 11 ("RM", WEST RICHMOND HILL) AND 12 ("RC", RICHMOND HILL) WERE BLOCK STATIONS AND WERE REPLACED BY AUTOMATIC SIGNALS IN 1908. 11 1/2 LAY WITHIN 12'S INTERLOCKING LIMITS AND THEIR SIGNALS WERE INTERCONNECTED.
IN 1906 OR 1907 11 1/2 BECAME "L" CABIN
IN 1923 - 1924 THE GRADE CROSSING WAS ELIMINATED BY ELEVATING THE TRACKS.
