Ruth Ryan, who at 92, retains her role as President of Franklin County New York's local SPCA Chapter, shares home and hearth with "Abou", a very independent, six year old Siamese.

Late for Lunch

  One noonday in May, church bells alerted me to lunchtime, and, turning, discovered Siamese cat (Abou) already ensconced in my wheelbarrow. And thus was created a springtime scene as we dashed past blooming lilacs for a rendezvous with lunch.
