AT BRIDGEHAMPTON, THE SHUTTLE'S "D" CLASS WOULD
RUN BACKWARDS IN ONE DIRECTION. THIS IS CIRCA 1925.
THE TENDERS OF SOME 4-4-0'S WERE EQUIPPED WITH
PILOTS AND HEADLIGHTS FOR BACKWARD RUNNING.
