SEYFRIED   STATES     THAT   A   POST   OFFICE   WAS   ESTABLISHED
HERE   IN   MARCH   1871   WITH   THE   NAME   "NEW   HYDE   PARK".
THE RAILROAD   USED   "HYDE   PARK"   UNTIL   SEPTEMBER   1904.
THE   STATION   BUILDING   WAS   ERECTED   IN   1870   (SEYFRIED)   OR   1878   (SLADE)
AND   WAS   REPLACED   BY   A   NEW   STRUCTURE   IN   THE   SUMMER   OF   1947.
