IN 1926 THE ELECTRIFICATION WAS COMPLETED BETWEEN VALLEY STREAM AND MINEOLA AND THROUGH MULTIPLE-UNIT TRAIN SERVICE WAS INSTITUTED REPLACING THE BATTERY CARS.
TO ELIMINATE CROSSING OF THAT LINE BY THE TROLLEY SHUTTLE THE SOUTHEAST LEG WAS BUILT BUT IT DEAD-ENDED BEHIND COUNTRY LIFE PRESS STATION PLATFORM.

IN 1933 MP41'S REPLACED THE TROLLEY CAR.
COUNTRY LIFE PRESS STATION PLATFORM AND TWO OF HC TOWER'S WESTWARD HOME SIGNALS - NUMBER 1 ON THE HEMSTEAD BRANCH AT LEFT AND NUMBER 2 ON THE NEW YORK BAY EXTENSION AT RIGHT.

IN 1939 HC TOWER WAS REPLACED BY GARDEN CABIN, THE RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING WAS ELIMINATED AND THE SOUTHEAST LEG WAS CONNECTED TO THE MAIN TRACK WITH A HAND OPERATED SWITCH. A SHORT SECTION OF THE NORTH-SOUTH TRACK WAS KEPT AS A LAY-UP TRACK HOLDING TWO CARS.

IN 1949 OR 1950 TWO MP54s REPLACED THE MP41s
THE RAILS NORTH OF THE LAY UP TRACK WERE REALIGNED AND REMAINED TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL RETURN TO MINEOLA SUB STATION. AT THE RIGHT ARE COVERED THIRD RAIL FEEDER LINES TO HEMPSTEAD AND WEST HEMPSTEAD.
